Privacy: Personal Information Collected and Use of Such Information

TravelWyoming.com is committed to honoring the privacy of its site visitors. We will not sell or rent any personal information gathered during your visit without your explicit permission. 

We may use cookies,  web beacons and tracking pixels to deliver content specific to your interests. Cookies are small text files used to make a user's experience more efficient. 

  • Accessibility: You do not need to have cookies enabled in the browser of your devices to use the site.
  • Administration: We will use these tools to recognize IP addresses and to detect server problems.
  • Functionality: Web beacons and tracking pixels monitor user behavior (such as email opens or navigation) but cannot read information off your hard drive. 

Marketing and Data Analytics Partners

Data Enhancement and Stakeholder Sharing

When you volunteer your information (such as for publications), we may use a third party to enhance or "append" this data. This process matches your volunteered name and address against established demographic segments to help us better understand our audience.

  • Wyoming Partner Sharing: With your explicit permission, we may share non-personally identifiable, aggregated information with Wyoming travel-related businesses to support state-wide tourism.
  • Sales/Renting: We will not sell or rent your personal information gathered during your visit to third parties without your explicit permission.

Data Retention and Erasure

We keep data on file for up to two years based on the most recent interaction. Users may request a portable copy of your data or request to have your data erased by submitting a formal request to us at: tourism@wyo.gov.

Use of AI Technologies

We provide AI Products (such as the AI Trip Planning Tool) through third-party service providers. Your input and personal information will be shared with these providers to enable the functionality of these tools.

Kids Page
We at the State of Wyoming are especially concerned about protecting children’s privacy. We ask children to get parental permission before providing information. Data provided by children is used only to enable us to respond to the writer and not to create profiles. This Site is not directed to minors in a manner implicating COPPA regarding third-party tracking.

Security 

We have put in place reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard your information. However, internet transmissions are never 100% secure. In the event of a security breach we will comply with existing laws and our crisis communication plan.
