Wheatland, Wyoming is an ideal place to stop as you head north into Wyoming along I-25.

This town is just south of popular destinations like Fort Laramie National Historic Site, Guernsey State Park and Glendo State Park. Take a walk through downtown Wheatland and find a number of murals depicting the town’s history. Stop in at Windy Peaks Brewery & Steakhouse for a beer and a burger — or a Wyoming steak. Learn more about this part of Wyoming at the Laramie Peak Museum, which showcases local history and artifacts. Stretch your legs in Lewis Park, a city park that allows camping.
