Where is Teton Village?
Teton Village is in northwestern Wyoming, at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in the Teton Range. It’s about 12 miles (roughly a 20-minute drive) northwest of the town of Jackson, and just south of Grand Teton National Park.
How far is Teton Village from Grand Teton National Park?
Teton Village is right on the southern edge of the park. It actually borders Grand Teton National Park, with the nearest entrance approximately 1–3 miles away. The park’s main visitor center in Moose is about 15 miles via the Moose-Wilson Road, which is typically closed in winter and can sometimes be slow-going in summer.
What’s the best time of year to visit Teton Village?
It really depends on what you’re interested in. Mid-December to early April is fantastic for skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and lots of other winter activities. Memorial Day to September is the perfect time to hike, bike, fish and have full access to Grand Teton National Park’s trails, including Granite Canyon and Death Canyon.
