March 26, 2026 - Cheyenne, Wyo. - The Wyoming Office of Tourism (WOT) announces new appointments and leadership updates to the Wyoming Tourism Board.

The Wyoming Tourism Board, composed of nine members representing regions across the state, provides governance and policy oversight for WOT and serves as a leading proponent of the state's tourism and hospitality industry. Members bring a range of industry experience and regional perspective that helps ensure WOT’s work reflects the needs of communities across Wyoming.

New Board Members

Governor Mark Gordon has appointed the following individuals to the board:

  • Deborah "Debbie" Pummel – District 2 (Platte, Goshen, Niobrara, Converse, Natrona)
    Pummel brings more than 30 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry and currently serves as regional director of sales for Safari Hospitality in Casper.
  • Bruce Sauers – District 5 (Park, Big Horn, Hot Springs, Washakie)
    Sauers serves as chief operating officer of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, where he leads operations and strategic initiatives for the organization.
  • Jonathan “Hunter” Sullivan – At Large
    Sullivan has worked in the dude ranch industry for 25 years and is the general manager of CM Ranch in Dubois.

Board Leadership Updates

Leadership updates to the board include:

  • Charisse Haws – Board Chair; District 6 (Fremont, Sublette, Teton)
  • Jenissa Meredith – Vice Chair; District 4 (Sweetwater, Lincoln, Uinta)

The current members of the board are:

  • Ken Barkey – At Large
  • Taylor Phillips – At Large
     

"These appointments reflect the strength and diversity of Wyoming's tourism industry," said WOT Executive Director Domenic Bravo. "Each of these individuals brings practical experience and a clear understanding of their communities. That perspective is critical as we continue to support an industry that plays an important role in Wyoming's economy."

Board members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate for three-year terms. The board provides strategic guidance to help ensure Wyoming’s tourism efforts remain focused, effective and aligned with opportunities across the state.
