The Hoofprints of the Past Museum is located in historic building in downtown
Kaycee, and has numerous displays on Kaycee and Western history including:

The Bozeman Trail and Fort Reno
Native Americans and the Dull Knife Battle
The Johnson County Cattle War
Outlaws and the Hole in the Wall Gang
1900 Kaycee School and Jail
Frewen Logs Cabin
Wagons & Farm Machinery

The Museum also has a gift shop and offers historical tours of the Hole in the Wall
and Johnson County War.
