Annual Festivals: Annual Hulett Rodeo (Second Weekend in June), Fireworks Display at Devils Tower KOA (July 4th) , Hulett Chamber of Commerce Duck Derby, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally “Ham ‘N Jam”(Wednesday of Rally), Ride a Horse, Feed a Cowboy (September)

Located on Highway 24, nine miles north of Devils Tower National Monument, Hulett is set in the beautiful Black Hills of Wyoming. The town is on the Belle Fourche River near the red rim rocks of Wyoming’s Bear Lodge Mountains.

Devils Tower was featured in the movie, “Close Encounters of The Third Kind.” Tourists often jump from their cars and to take snapshots. It is definitely a unique sight. An easy drive to the tower, and hiking around its one-mile path, Hulett is a great place to use as your base camp for exploring the area.  There are several options for lodging and dining.

The Golf Club at Devils Tower is also located in Hulett, which is an 18 hole championship course rated by Golf Digest as one of the best new courses in 2007.

Outdoor activities abound in the area as Black Hills National Forest surrounds the town. Fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, camping, golfing, and rock climbing are among the many activities available in the area.

Don’t miss “Ride a Horse, Feed a Cowboy,” an annual celebration in September, when locals ride their horses into town, followed by live music, branding buildings, poker tournament, and rodeo.
