Fort Bridger

Fort Bridger is in Uinta County, in the Evanston metro area.  The community was named after trapper James Bridger, who established trading post and blacksmith shop here.

Don’t Miss: The Fort Bridger Rendezvous is held annually the first weekend of September at Fort Bridger, Wyoming.  This mountain man rendezvous celebrates the Fur Trade Rendezvous Era that occurred in the Rocky Mountains between 1825-1840. It is one of the largest mountain man gatherings in the nation.
