Wyoming Whiskey
Kirby | Park to Park
The idea to create the first legal distillery in Wyoming was Kate and Brad Mead’s. Fourth generation ranchers with history dating back to 1890. When they bought their Ranch in Kirby, WY, they didn’t know it would become the home of Wyoming Whiskey.
In 2006, they discovered the land in Kirby was ideal for growing the grains to make whiskey. Brad called on friend and future co-founder David Defazio to join him on this journey. The pair were told that in an environment as extreme as Wyoming, whiskey making was near impossible.
But that didn’t stop them. They began their journey alongside Bourbon Hall of Famer, Steve Nally, with the ceremonial commencement of production on July 4th, 2009 and never looked back. Our Whiskey is still made with the same pioneering spirit today. Call us old school, or true to our roots. Our portfolio may have grown, but all of our whiskey is still grown, aged, distilled and bottled in the great state we call home.
