Wyoming Earth Treasures - Explore Hidden Volcanic Field

Explore Hidden Volcanic Field Trips available July/August 2020 Mon/Tue Tue/Wed and a few Fri/Sat trips available
Meet in Riverton WY at 7 am the first day, drive to Tri-Territory. Then onto Black Rock in Leucite Hills, hike and explore for a little while. Go to Killpecker Sand Dunes Open Play Campground, set up campsite, eat lunch and relax. Drive to Boar’s Tusk, hike and explore area. Then return to campsite, eat dinner, relax and enjoy the clear Wyoming night skies, perfect for stargazing. In the morning we will eat breakfast, break down campsite, and head to White Mountain Petroglyphs. We will hike to the petroglyphs, explore the area. We Will eat lunch and then drive to the Farson Mercantile where we will enjoy their famous “Big Scoop” ice cream. After ice cream we will drive about 13 miles and hunt for some petrified wood. We will then return to Riverton.
There will be many opportunities to take pictures and/or view the beautiful Wyoming landscape, wildlife and the clear Wyoming night skies.
Transportation, buckets, collecting containers, water, drinks, breakfast, two lunches, dinner, tents, sleeping bags and blankets will be provided.
