Ranger Creek (Westside) Campground & Recreation Area - Bighorn National Forest

Lovell | Black to Yellow

Located 15.7 miles northeast of Shell (38.5 W of Dayton), Wyoming, on U.S. Highway 14, then 2 miles south on Forest Road 17. (3 miles to Rec/Picnic Area). (-107.4989 x 44.5461) Elevation is 7,600 feet. 7 camping sites at the campground. Spur lengths 20-60'. Tents are welcome at the Rec Area, but RV's and trailers are not recommended due to limited parking. Sites 1-5, 9 & 10 are specific to the campground, while sites 6 – 8 are specific to the Rec. Area. Restrooms and drinking water available, no showers, phones, or electricity. Rec area has ball field and group picnic area. Prices for the Rec area vary by the number of people. Reservations must be made for the Rec. (group) Area at www. recreation.gov or by phone at 1-877-444-6777. Pets are welcome but must be on leash.
