Uses

This is a primitive area with lots of area for hiking, biking and horseback riding. It is advisable to caution against driving a low-riding vehicle. Travel into the park by truck is recommended since the road to the park is not maintained.

If you really want to get away from the crowds, Ponderosa Park is the place to go with wide open space enough for everyone. The fall aspen leaves make this park an annual pilgrimage for many local residents.
