Pine Island Group Area - Bighorn National Forest

Located 27 miles West of Dayton, Wyoming, on U.S. Highway 14 (-107.4770 x 44.7767) beside the beautiful South Fork of the Tongue River. Elevation is 7,000 feet. Perfect for group activities, this site features a picnic shelter with rock fireplace and electricity, firepit, tables, grills, and a playground for the kids. Restroom and drinking water are available, no showers, or phones. Reservations are required for Pine Island, and special arrangments must be made in advance for overnight use. Reservations may be made at www.recreation.gov or by phone at 1-877-444-6777. Pine Island is generally available from mid-May through mid-September, weather dependant. Group fees apply and are dependant on the number of people in the group. Pets are welcome on leash.
