Muddy Mountain-Rim Campground

The two-mile Interpretive Nature Trail connects the Lodgepole and Rim campgrounds. It has 28 interpretive signs and is handicap accessible. Two overlooks located on the trail provide a unique view of the valley below. Travel along the trail is limited to hikers only. Rim Campground meets ADA accessibility standards and has 8 campsites with picnic tables and fire rings. Potable water is available at the entrance to Lodgepole Campground. Vault toilets are located in each campground and at the trailhead to the Interpretive Nature Trail. All camping in this area is restricted to developed sites and is limited to a two week stay. Fires are allowed only in the provided fire rings and weapons are not to be discharged anywhere within the Developed Area. All motorized travel is restricted to designated roads. Additional rules that restrict noise levels prohibit cutting of live trees and leash pets are posted at the entrance of each campground.
