Lazy L & B Ranch

Dubois | Rockies to Tetons

The heart of the Lazy L&B Ranch is its unsurpassed horseback riding program and there's no better way to explore the spectacular, untouched landscape surrounding the ranch. We are surrounded by 80,000 acres of wildlife reserve, so there are opportunities to see all kinds of wildlife. You'll never ride the same trail twice, whether it's the Shoshone Forest, red sand draws, cottonwood-lined rivers, mountain meadows or high desert. We ride everyday and cater to all abilities. We keep groups small and like to spread out where the terrain allows. There's a supervised riding program for children and opportunities to ride as a family as well. Whether it be grooming, tacking up or feeding the horses, you're welcome to participate as much or as little as you like.

There's great riding but there's a lot more. The area offers world class fly-fishing with the East Fork River running through the property and several other pristine rivers nearby. Some other activities at the ranch include endless hiking, swimming, rifle range, petting zoo, campfires and arrowhead hunting.

Situated at 7,200 feet in the Wind River's East Fork valley, the area surrounding the ranch is less inhabited then it was homesteaded in the late 1800s. This is the true west. The land of Jim Bridger and the Mountain men, Lewis and Clark, Sacajawea, Buffalo Bill, the Pony Express and the Oregon Trail.
