WYOMING WORKING HORSE RANCH VACATION is not a Dude Ranch. If you are passionate about horses, adventurous, and want to develop new skills, this amazing program includes riding and groundwork, natural horsemanship, working with cattle on horseback and on the ground and, during downtime, off-ranch activities like the Cody Nite Rodeo, soaking in the hot springs or a visit to Yellowstone. WHO: Participants 18+ yo, any experience level and background from around the globe. Solo travelers love us! Getting immersed in Western ranch life is a great way to take a break from life, contemplate a change, and get hands-on experience with large animals. Whatever your goals, we’ll help you check them off your bucket list! COST & DURATION: 1 week $1,000 springtime, $1,600 summer/fall. Additional weeks $500/week. Includes cabin accommodations, hearty meals, horses, equipment, all on-ranch activities, as well as, airport pick-up on Sunday and drop-off at the end of your stay. FOCUS: HORSES – long and short trail rides, horsemanship clinics, imprint foals, ear-tag calves, do groundwork with colts, wrangle horses from pasture at sunrise, ride through the herd to check pregnant cows and new calves, round up cows for team penning, learn to rope, overnight at cow camp under the stars! There so much to experience! NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Just a passion for horses and adventure, a desire to develop new skills, self-motivation, and knowing your goals! We’ll teach you the rest! OFF-RANCH ACTIVITIES: Round out your Western ranch adventure with the Cody Nite Rodeo, a weekend at Yellowstone National Park, a river float or white water rafting, a soak in the hot springs, and other uniquely Wyoming activities!
