Bozeman Trail Museum

Big Horn | Black to Yellow

The Bozeman Trail Museum is located in Big Horn City’s old blacksmith shop, located near the Big Horn Woman’s Club. Perhaps the most historically important artifact at the museum is the Cloud Peak Boulder – a stone with names and dates carved by military scouts just two days before the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Other items of interest in the museum are dental tools, a pump organ, portions of the 1881 post office, artwork, blacksmith and farm implements, pioneer clothing, Indian artifacts, and other collectibles from local families.
