Fall Into Art – Etched in Metal: Edward Curtis and the Photogravure Process

The Brinton Museum’s Fall Into Art series presents a program highlighting the art of Edward Curtis (1868-1952), famed artist and ethnographer of the early 20th century. In this evening presentation master printmaker Jim Jereb will discuss the technical process of photogravure and demonstrate the inking and printing of Camp in the Woods – Cheyenne, one of several original copper printing plates made by Curtis now held in the collection of The Brinton Museum. This select program will be conducted in the Jacomien Mars Reception Gallery.
