Wyoming Office of Tourism Staff Appointed to National Board Positions
July 18, 2018—Cheyenne, Wyoming—The Wyoming Office of Tourism (WOT) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Adu has been named to the National Tour Association (NTA) Board of Directors, while Jennifer Griswold has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the International Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA).
Adu is the Global Sales & Services Partner Activation Manager for WOT, where she works with tourism industry partners throughout the state and executes a marketing strategy to reach domestic travel trade though the motor coach/package travel industry. In her role on the NTA Board of Directors, Adu will serve as the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) representative and will be on the board for three years. The board of directors oversees and governs NTA as it works to guide the association and enhance its various programs.
“As one of only two DMO positions on the NTA Board of Directors, Jenn provides valuable insights for Wyoming and the Western states,” said James Scoon, director of global sales & services for WOT. “She’ll be able to help shape the work of NTA as we promote this important sector of the travel industry.”
Griswold is the Research & Analytics Manager for WOT, where she is responsible for supporting and assessing the organization’s strategic initiatives and key performance indicators. She will serve for three years on the board of directors for TTRA, with responsibilities that include establishing and implementing the association’s strategic plan, developing its mission and planning future conferences.
“Research is vital in the work we do at the Wyoming Office of Tourism,” said Anita Benton, director of business operations for WOT. “Through Jennifer’s involvement with TTRA, we’ll continue to help provide the travel industry with valuable insights as the industry works to make informed decisions.”
