Monthly PR Recap- January and February 2017

In an effort to keep you, our industry partners, updated on earned media coverage and media outreach efforts, we’ll be sending out a monthly email recapping earned media coverage that our publicity team has garnered.

Media + PR Summary

The publicity team has been working on promoting various places, attractions, destinations and experiences throughout Wyoming. Each month, we calculate reach and editorial value for earned media placements. Below you’ll find an overview of our top media placements, as well as earned media results.

Please note that “Top Media Placements” and “Earned Media” include coverage that is a direct result of our public relations program, while “Wyoming in the News” is coverage that cannot be directly tracked back to our program.

Top Media Placements

This month’s top earned media placements include Travel + Leisure, Toronto Star and CNN.

A relationship with Travel + Leisure resulted in Wind River Hotel and Casino’s four-day Arapaho Eclipse Celebration being included in a story on the 25 Perfect Spots for Watching the Total Solar Eclipse Crossing the U.S.

Toronto Star‘s Travel Editor, Jennifer Bain, came to Wyoming in July 2016 and her most recent article from the trip, about the Cody Nite Rodeo calf scramble, ran in print and online in mid-February.

Rx Tea Time, a Cheyenne teashop, earned a significant mention in a CNN article, 11 of the World’s Best Tea Houses, as a result of the journalist’s visit to Wyoming in 2016.
