June 8, 2024 — Cheyenne, Wyo. - The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced the long-term closure of Teton Pass following a catastrophic structural failure of Wyoming State Highway 22 at milepost 12.8. Due to multiple mudslides, the roadway has sustained significant structural damage and there is currently no estimated time for reopening.
Governor Mark Gordon has issued an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency to facilitate access to federal resources necessary for the substantial repairs required.
