Jim Allen carries on the family tradition of hosting visitors in the spectacular Wind River Mountain Range like his grandfather did here in the 1920’s. Jim & Mary love packing in the “Winds” and are dedicated to using the land wisely with minimum impact camping practices. The Diamond 4 Ranch gets its name from the Allen’s horse brand which has a history from the days of the open range.

Mountain Ranch
The Allen’s Diamond 4 Ranch lies at the edge of the Popo Agie Wilderness area where sparkling mountain lakes, lush meadows, glaciers and pristine forests are right outside your log cabin porch. At this hidden gem we take only a small number of guests so you are assured a personalized ranch experience. With no weekly schedule to follow, activities are planned with each group and include daily riding, hiking, fishing, and wildlife watching. The only “crowds and noise” are the horses thundering into the corral each morning. Meals are family style with the wranglers. Overnight pack trips can be an additional adventure option. Rustic comfort, western hospitality and friendly staff make the Diamond 4 Ranch perfect for families, small groups or individuals, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
