Sundance Campground and Trailhead

specialized campground for horses in Black Hills National Forest. The campground/trailhead has six open corral, two eight-horse stalls and a handicap loading ramp. There is fresh water and 10 camp sites. This area is open with no trees. A large parking area will accommodate tractor trailer. It is near Bear Lodge trails and Sundance Trail System. 



The site also has fire rings, restrooms and parking. Showers, telephones, and a convenience store within ten miles.



The Black Hills are in northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota, covering an area 125 miles long and 65 miles wide. Enjoy yourself while viewing the many rugged rock formations, canyons and gulches, open grassland parks, tumbling streams, and deep blue lakes.

Directions:

Take Interstate 90 to exit 189. Turn left toward the town of Sundance. After about one mile take a right on Government Valley Road. Drive three miles to campground and trailhead.
