Welcome to Hyattville, Wyoming! We are happily at the end of the road – if you are here you either planned well, or you’re very, very lost! Situated just above the confluence of Paintrock and Medicine Lodge Creeks, we live and work in one of Wyoming’s most beautiful places. You are only minutes away from the scenic wonders of sagebrush dotted badlands, spectacular canyons with excellent trout streams, or high mountain grandeur. Stop by someday and say “hello”…..you won’t feel like a stranger for long!!
Our Community Center (HCC) was established June 16, 2003, but the building has been here much longer than that. Our building used to be the Hyattville Community School and many of our residents studied and even taught here. Stop by any morning between 8 and 10 am to the cafeteria in the back of the building for a cup of morning coffee and a chat with the locals. The?Community Center is a non-profit entity that works in conjunction with the Hyattville Cemetery District, the Hyattville Volunteer Fire Department, the Hyattville Service and Improvement District, the Hyattville History Committee, and the Hyattville Satellite Library to serve the residents of Hyattville Wyoming.
For a town of only 75, we seem to have a lot going on at almost any time of the year! The Fire Department’s Valentine Dinner, annual Quilt Retreats, our annual Cowboy Carnival during Memorial Day Weekend, a 4th of July Pony Express ride to Ten Sleep, hunting in the fall, Harvest Dinner – and you are welcome to visit any time. ?The nearest gas station is 25 mile South of us in Ten Sleep, and the nearest grocery stores are about 45 miles away, either Greybull or Worland. ?We’re pretty remote, so that means we don’t have very thorough cellular network coverage. The Hyattville Community Center has free Wi-Fi, and you can usually get a little bit of network coverage at the Post Office.
We encourage you to visit, or to learn more about us from our website?or check out our?Facebook Page and Instagram.
