Women Who Hike: Leave No Trace

Join us for our first ever Women Who Hike LNT Trainer Campout in Wyoming!

Participants will learn Leave No Trace skills and ethics as well as techniques for educating others about these low impact practices.

Itinerary:

Arrive Friday by 7:00, we’ll do group intros, have dinner and begin our LNT programming.

Saturday, we will convene for breakfast and continue our LNT education. Activities will include canoeing and/or hiking. Sunday, we will wrap up our LNT course by 2P.

What’s included?

All food is included in registration, dietary needs will be taken into account in pre-trip communication. Feel free to also bring your own food/snacks to enjoy.

Tents, sleeping mats, and sleeping bags available to borrow from Wyoming State Parks. You’ll be responsible for your own footwear, hiking backpack, and apparel. We also have cooking supplies to share.

Seminoe State Park sits 35 miles from I-80. We’ll experience seclusion, connection with nature, and night sky viewing. During our stay we will be learning a full course of Leave No Trace principles as we ourselves enjoy time in the frontcountry! With camping, outdoor cooking, canoeing, and community we will share tricks of the trade and open our eyes to our many impacts on the land and how to mitigate those in the best ways possible.

Seminoe State Park is a reservoir park created by the Seminoe Dam and on Eastern Shoshone, Arapaho, and Cheyenne traditional lands.

For our paid events, we require a cancellation within one week of the event date/start time. No refunds will be processed after this time.
