Re-Imagining Conservation Exhibition Opening

Jackson Hole | Salt to Stone

Join us as we celebrate the opening of Re-Imagining Conservation! This exhibition, which includes works from 31 artists from nine different countries, takes a broad look at the future of conservation. Several of the featured artists will be in attendance to discuss their work. Local printmaker and participating artist, Ava Reynolds will be doing two live art demonstrations, one at 5:30 p.m. and one at 6:15 p.m. with an associated art activity—creating climate change collages. We will be layering linoleum block printing techniques with collage materials; including maps, images of climate research and conservation initiatives. This workshop is an opportunity to channel your emotions about the climate crisis through a creative outlet, whether what you’re feeling is outrage or optimism.

Attendees can also enjoy free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Ava Reynolds is a printmaker examining the relationship between environmental beauty and climate change in her work. She received a B.A. in Global Sustainability and Studio Art, concentrating in printmaking, from the University of Virginia. Ava primarily uses linoleum, woodcut, and intaglio styles of printmaking, but is interested in combining more contemporary forms of printing. She finds inspiration for her prints from organic forms and landscapes, especially around Jackson, WY where she is based.
