Hartville is a town in Platte County, near Guernsey and Guernsey Reservoir.  The community was named after Major Virling Hart, owner of a local copper mine. It is the oldest incorporated town in Wyoming still in existence.  Which also means it has the oldest Wyoming bar, the Miners and Stockman’s Steakhouse and Spirits.

The post office in Hartville does most of it’s business in one day.  On February 14th every year the postmaster seeks volunteers to help mark envelopes with a special heart shaped post mark.
